We celebrated Keiko’s 15th birthday. Last Fall

We celebrated Keiko’s 15th birthday. Last Fall the vet gave her a poor prognosis after a medical scare and after #acupuncture and #chinesemedicine she is still here! Some say things like “it’s a just a dog”, but for us it’s much different. Keiko came into our lives after our miscarriage and is part of our family.

She has had quite an adventure in her life and amazes us with her gentle nature. Here are a few examples of her rich life:

* As a pup she was so determined to get to the sand bar to play frisbee that she jumped in the water and swam across the creek like she had swum the English channel many times
* 🏖 She’s been a beach girl her whole life and loved every minute of it
* She was a natural at agility weaving through poles and easily catching frisbees
* She’s also been a city girl, exploring Boston & Montreal
* She’s attended 2 weddings and even crashed a reception tent
* She’s worked her whole life attending commercial real estate meetings and greeting and calming my patients in clinic
* She attended classes at Chinese medical school but got bored with pharmacology 🌿
* She’s a Mainah thru and thru and has explored the coast from Kittery to Bar Harbor
* She hiked one of the Presidentials, Mt. Eisenhower and was the first to the top ⛰
* She was an LL Bean model 🐶
* She’s been to an outdoor concert
* She loves socializing and greeting people passing to the beach and always looking for the next fire pit or driveway drinking at the neighbors
* She has been with us through it all, providing comfort and companionship every step of the way

A dog is not just a dog. A soul is a soul and love is love. ❤️ Thank you to all that have given her love over the years.

Legs up the wall! Heard of this before? Have you ever tried this pose during the TWW? How often do you practice yoga during your cycle? Comment below!

Are you in your Luteal Phase of your cycle right now? Like and Save this post to refer back to when you are in your Luteal Phase!

I recommend doing this yoga pose during the second half of your menstrual cycle, after ovulation and before menstruation.

This pose is great for improving blood circulation and from a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective it can improve blood stagnation and Kidney Qi Deficiency!

If you are TTC it can help improve blood flow to your uterus, encouraging your uterine lining to be nice and thick, ready to support implantation.

It's also a great de-toxifying pose as it helps to flush toxins through your body and lymph system!

Find a flat surface and hold the pose for up to 20 minutes and stop if you feel uncomfortable. You can use a cushion under your hips or head.
Reach out to a licensed yoga professional for more tips on how to do this specific pose if you are unsure how.

It is too easy to get caught up in the idea that there is something 'wrong' with us. When our bodies aren't doing what we want them to or what we expect them to do, we feel like WE have failed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This is just not true. Our bodies are constantly changing, growing and healing. We must not lose love for ourselves or our incredible bodies. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
